Meet Osteopath Dr Tara Baird
Tara graduated from RMIT University with a Bachelor of Health Science and a Bachelor of Applied Science (Osteopathy). Tara has completed further training in Dry Needling, Cupping and Clinical Pilates.
Tara enjoys treating a wide range of conditions but has particular interest in headaches, neck pain and shoulder injuries. Tara tailors her treatments to each individual patient by incorporating a wide range of manual techniques, pain education and exercise prescription.
Tara has been a Sports Trainer for the Calder Cannons Football club for several years where she has gained experience working with elite junior athletes. This has provided her with a deep understanding of the benefits of using exercise to assist patients in injury prevention and rehabilitation. These experiences inspired Tara to undertake further training into Clinical Pilates to enable her to equip patients with the knowledge they need to take an active role in their own health care.
Outside of osteopathy, Tara enjoys taking an active part in regular Pilates classes whilst occasionally baking yummy cakes and biscuits. She also loves watching sports of all varieties and barracking for her AFL team the Richmond tigers.
